I didn’t grow up with sisters so I’m not really sure how the whole sister dynamic goes but I always thought it would be so fun. When I met Kellie and our friendship formed it was basically like I gained a sister. It’s been 10 years of friendship and I have no doubt there will be many more to come! People ask us all the time if we are related. NO JOKE. I secretly love it and we don’t even deny it anymore. One time Kellies grandma saw a photo of me and thought it was Kellie. Makes me laugh every time. So grateful for you, Kell.
When Lee and I started trying for another baby we of course wanted nothing more than a healthy baby, buuuuut we did think having a little girl would just be the sweetest. So when I found it was a girl we were THRILLED. I was in denial for a while, because I was just so dang happy but truly couldn’t believe it. I can’t wait to welcome our sweet little lady to the family in May and I’m sure she will fit right into our mini girl gang. I imagine the road trips, pedicures, ice cream dates, sleepovers at auntie kel kel’s. It’s going to be soooo good.
Kellie threw me the sweetest friends shower last weekend and every detail was amazing. I mean, do you see those charcuterie cones? And the fresh lemonade? And those sandwiches? and of course bundt caked because, duh. IT WAS ALL SO GOOD. I’m still on cloud 9 from the excitement!
To go with the theme of the shower, I created dried floral keepsakes in an acrylic box and personalized them with each gals name. It was so fun! Of course I made an extra for baby sister to have in her nursery too.
It was just the best afternoon with some of my favorite people celebrating baby girl Wraith. What more could I ask for? Oh, maybe for baby girl to stay in cooking a bit longer. I’m technically now on bedrest and trying to keep pre-term labor away!
