CONNECT WITH DANIELLE
I’m a wife and momma on the daily and bouquets of flowers from Trader Joes are my love language. I'm a wanna be cooking show host. You can probably find me watching Bravo TV with an iced coffee in hand. I'm a big fan of brunch with the girls and ice cream dates with my guys. I love encouraging others with words and have a heart for serving.

It’s not a shock that I spend lots of hours in front of a computer screen. As a wedding photographer its my “busy season” and between me and my photo editor we’ve got thousands of images to edit! Sooo, while I’m staring at pretty photos every day staring at a screen isn’t the BEST for my sweet little eyes. So when I discovered blue light blocking glasses last year it was like my magic new tool. I had less headaches and could feel less eye strain!
So let’s break down what the heck blue light even is. When experienced in smaller amounts, blue light can provide some health benefits, including increased alertness, improved mood, and potentially better sleep. But, there’s more…
The trouble comes when blue light is experienced in excess and/or in the evening hours (according to my research and personal experience). This short-wavelength light can cause all sorts of trauma in our bodies. For example, eye strain, disrupted sleep, headaches, fatigue, etc. Um.. No, thank you.
Enter, blue light blocking glasses, which are just as they sound: glasses that protect the eyes from blue light. I don’t know about you, but preventing the effects of over-exposure, improving my quality of sleep, and reducing physical and mental fatigue are plenty of reasons to wear protective blue light blocking glasses. Plus, they’re kinda cute… right?! Have you tried blue light blocking glasses? Tell me below!
